Was the chancellor’s budget for FE a giant con?

In this week’s show, Skills World Live presenter Tom Bewick, looks at the impact of the recent Budget and Spending Review for FE and skills.

The Department for Education says the three year settlement for FE will result in a 26 per cent real terms increase on levels invested in 2019. However, analysis by the Learning and Work Institute has found that by 2025, spending will still be on average, £750 million less on FE than it was in 2010.
